ROCB ESA participated in the closing ceremony of the new cycle of the Master Trainer Programme (MTP) on GEOINT (Geospatial Intelligence) which took place from 2nd- 6th February 2026. The MTP on GEOINT Programme has an aim of strengthening more WCO members’ capacity to develop sustainable training programmes to enhance border control particular in fragile borders and conflict affected situation.
The 2nd cycle of the MTP on GEIONT Programme for Africa comprised of approximately 20 countries. They were trained on the Q-GIS software and they learned how to manipulate and develop information on data sets. The WG3 (Working Group 3) for MTP on GEIONT Programme West Africa have supported the participants with the software and with practical training.
To conclude the closing ceremony, the WG3 for MTP on GEIONT Programme West Africa were acknowledged by WOC, JICA KRA and ROCB for their support, their dedicated work in developing the content and in supporting this project. The WG3 and the new cycle for MTP on GEIONT Programme were called to be an agent of change and remain united with the mission to protecting the fragile borders.
