ESA Contribution: Global AEO Conference

The ROCB Director, Mr. Larry Liza spoke at the 6th Global AEO Conference session on “Strengthening Customs administrations and international trade through fostering an AEO culture.” His speech centred on the role of regional entities in the integration of the AEO culture, collaboration with the private sector, successes and the challenges of the programme in the region.

The session generally explored the role of cultivating an AEO culture towards strengthening Customs administrations and international trade. It discussed promoting voluntary compliance, transparency and security within Customs and in collaboration with the private sector while stressing the importance of the AEO programme in faster and effective facilitation of legitimate trade resulting in the efficient utilization of limited resources for both Customs and business.
