The WCO ESA Regional Private Sector Group hosted today’s webinar, featuring opening remarks by Dr. Juanita Maree, Chair of the WCO ESA RPSG. Esteemed speakers included Ms. Trudi Hartzenberg, Executive Director of the Trade Law Centre for Southern Africa (TRALAC); Mr. Dhunraj Kassee, Director of Industrial Development and Trade at the SADC Secretariat; and Mr. Larry Liza, Director of the WCO ESA ROCB. Mr. Jacob van Rensburg served as the session moderator.
The session provided valuable insights into recent developments and strategic initiatives within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and emphasized SADC’s role in advancing regional industrial development through the COMESA-EAC-SADC Tripartite Free Trade Area.
