Opening remarks were delivered by Ms. Josephine Manyasi, who expressed her gratitude to the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and RTC Kenya for facilitating and hosting the webinar. She further extended her appreciation to the regional experts for sharing their knowledge and contributing to capacity building within the administrations.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Nelson Mukuriah, Deputy Commissioner of Human Resources at KRA, acknowledged the strong collaboration between the WCO ESA ROCB and RTC Kenya, noting their capability to effectively conduct the Research Methodology webinar.
The regional webinar on Research Methodology was facilitated by Dr. Bernard Baimera of RTC Kenya, who guided participants through the institutionalization of research. His presentation emphasized its values and applications, examined the impact of Artificial Intelligence on customs-based research, and addressed other emerging issues in the customs field.
