The WCO ESA ROCB, represented by Director Larry Liza, is part of the TRALAC Annual Conference themed โ€˜๐‘จ๐’‡๐’“๐’Š๐’„๐’‚โ€™๐’” ๐’•๐’“๐’‚๐’…๐’† ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐’ˆ๐’๐’—๐’†๐’“๐’๐’‚๐’๐’„๐’† ๐’‚๐’ˆ๐’†๐’๐’…๐’‚ ๐’Š๐’ ๐’„๐’‰๐’‚๐’๐’ˆ๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐’ˆ๐’๐’๐’ƒ๐’‚๐’ ๐’๐’“๐’…๐’†๐’“’. The sessions are focusing on: international trade and governance in the African context, post COVID era, climate change, and perspectives on the Digital Economy. It will also reflect on food insecurity in Africa, relating to climate and agriculture; the AfCFTA plans on trade and its framework for Africaโ€™s industrialization, and movement of persons and integration.
The conference received opening remarks from the ambassadors of Sweden and Germany to Kenya, the Chair of the Tralac Board, and the Secretary General of the AfCFTA Secretariat. A number of notable persons are part of various panel discussions and deliberations during the conference which has a wide range of representation from Africa.
