The goal of promoting Gender Equality and Diversity in the East and Southern Africa (ESA) Region is to equip the ESA Customs Administrations with an adapted set of tools to effectively complement the WCO Toolbox on Gender Equality and Diversity and to align our objectives to the World Customs Organization (WCO), World Trade Organization (WTO) Joint Declaration on Trade and Women’s Economic Empowerment, World Bank charter for cross border trade, the trade facilitation agreement, the Revised Kyoto convention, Goal 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals and the laws of all Members states.
Attached are various tools developed by WCO and the ESA region on the topic.
