The Honourable Minister of Post, Telecommunication, and Digital Economy from Comoros, H. E. Hon. Kamalidini Souef, was hosted by Mr. Larry Liza, the WCO ESA Director, in Nairobi, Kenya.
Hon. Seouf expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to visit the ESA Regional Office for Capacity Building, having previously served as a Member of the ESA Governing Council while holding the position of Director-General of Comoros Customs. He acknowledged the objectives of the ESA Region and emphasized the crucial role of technology and automation in facilitating Customs work. Additionally, he commended the work of the ROCB in advancing the region’s objectives. Mr. Souef has also served as the Minister for Finance, Budget and Banking for the Union of Comoros, among other roles globally.
Mr. Liza thanked the minister for keeping tabs with the region’s progress and looked forward to more opportunities for collaboration aimed at the sustainable development of our region.
