Today 16th December 2025 marked a memorable moment as the Director of the World Customs Organization East and Southern Africa Regional Office for Capacity Building (WCO ESA ROCB) officially handed over the Sotho Photo Contest trophy to the Commissioner of Customs and Border Control, Kenya Revenue Authority. Kenya earned this recognition after emerging among the top three winners (South Africa, Kenya, and Zimbabwe) during the Governing Council meeting held in May 2025 in Pretoria South Africa.
Dr Lilian Nyawanda, Commissioner of Customs and Border Control Kenya, emphasized the importance of documenting and showcasing enforcement efforts to highlight the important work Customs officers do every day in safeguarding society and facilitating trade. Josephine Manyasi, Director ROCB, congratulated Kenya on this remarkable achievement and appreciated them for the support they continuously offer the ROCB office.
